Kıvanç Zaimler graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Industrial Engineering in 1991, and started his career in 1992 after his education at Berlin Technical University. He held various managerial positions until 2008 in Türk Elektrik Endüstrisi, RAM Foreign Trade and Aygaz companies, respectively.
Kıvanç Zaimler joined Enerjisa in 2008 and served as Trading Director, General Manager of Distribution Companies, General Manager of Sales Companies and lastly as the CEO of Enerjisa. After the split of Enerjisa companies and the successful IPO of Enerjisa Enerji, Zaimler has been serving as Sabancı Holding Energy Group President since July 2018.
In addition to his roles as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enerjisa Enerji and SabancıDx companies in Sabancı Group, and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enerjisa Üretim company; Zaimler is also taking an active role in non-governmental organizations. He serves as the Vice President of the World Energy Council in Turkey, the Chairman of the TÜSİAD Energy Working Group, a Member of the Board of Sabancı University Istanbul International Energy and Climate Center (IICEC), a Member of the SHURA Advisory Council and Chairman of the Board of ELDER.
